FinDesk originated from a real need: replacing shared financial spreadsheets with a simple and reliable application designed around the routine of two people. The product is actively used and continues to evolve through needs observed in everyday use.

01 · The challenge

Installment purchases were the largest blind spot in the spreadsheet workflow. It was difficult to understand how much of each credit card statement was already committed in future months, especially across different cards, closing dates, due dates, and recurring purchases.

02 · The solution

I developed a full-stack application that centralizes income, fixed expenses, monthly spending, credit cards, and installment purchases. The system organizes navigation by month and automatically calculates which statement should receive each installment, providing a consolidated view of the balance and future commitments.

04 · Outcome

The result is a functional product used continuously to manage shared finances. FinDesk replaced the dependence on spreadsheets with a centralized monthly view and made the future impact of installment purchases predictable.
